Breakfast
Given the nature of our services, i.e. offering daycare as early as 5:45 a.m. to the children of Bombardier Aerospace employees, it goes without saying that we offer cereal as breakfast to our little ones, who sometimes start the day very early.
Electronic communication book
Our communication booklet is an essential tool in our daily life. It allows us to reinforce and facilitate communication between the educator and the parents. Each parent receives a daily anecdote of their child's day, along with various information on their child's daily routine. For example, did he eat well? Was he or she in a good mood? Did he sleep well? And so on. The information will vary depending on the age and developmental stage of the child. In addition, from time to time, you will receive pictures to illustrate a moment of your child's day.
Field trips
At the CPE, we provide an opportunity for children and their families to come together by participating in outings.
There are two family outings, one in the fall and one in the spring. In the fall, of course, we go to an orchard to enjoy some delicious apples. In the spring, the children and their families have the opportunity to participate in our annual outing to the sugar shack, another great treat! For these two outings, all the children of the CPE, aged 2 to 4, and their families are invited
In addition to these two outings, educational outings are offered monthly to our older children from September to June. The purpose of these outings is to support them in developing their autonomy in preparation for kindergarten. During these outings, the children are accompanied by their educator and most of the transportation is done by school bus. These are outings where the children have a variety of experiences. They can be as much cultural as they are sporting
Here are some examples of outings: Museum, Zoo, Swimming pool, Theater, etc.
Speech Therapy
For the past several years, we have been fortunate to offer speech therapy to our families. For a few days a week, the speech therapist travels to all three of our facilities to provide support to children with special needs.
In addition, twice a year, the speech therapist screens our groups of children ages 2-4. It is important for you to know that you will always be informed in advance of this screening time. This allows us to target the children who would benefit from her support. If a child presents needs, the educational assistant will contact the family involved to determine what the next steps might be.
Partnership, between parents and educators, remains essential in the development of children. We believe it is important to have open communication, as it is by working together that we can help move the child forward positively.
